We all know to refrain from using any of the names of God as a cuss word. But does that mean we never use His name? Certainly not! Even though there are some people who've been raised to never, ever utter the name of the Lord, scripture tells us to call upon His name and to use it with reverence and fear.
Psalm 86:11 [NKJV]
Teach me Your way, O LORD;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
When we have the correct awe and respect for God, we will have the correct awe and respect for His name. And when we have that, we can call upon His name appropriately, opening our heart to experience His power and blessing in our life.
