Just Faith Alone

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. James 2:17 [KJV]

There is a delicate balance between faith and works. All works and no faith are just something to do. Whereas all faith and no works just give us something to know. But when we put those two together, we get the spread of the gospel. The good news gets spread when we pray and live on our faith, which becomes action. We have faith to know and act on the Word of God.

Faith alone leaves everyone including us wanting. We know what must be done, but we are not getting any results because we are not putting forth any effort. Actions alone keep each of us wondering what will be the next good deed to be performed and suddenly we have a chart counting what we are doing and what the anticipated payback will be.

In order to fulfill the work that Christ left for us, we must put faith and works together. When we do, we are able to move mountains. The promise of life more abundantly is only available when we use faith and works together, for we can change the course of history by stepping out on our faith and doing the work of God which stands before us.

Be Encouraged,

Martin
