A command to know

Friends,

Each one of us is faced with decisions, great and small. Some wait upon the Lord, earnestly and patiently seeking His will for each choice. Others move out, confident that no matter what happens, it is in His hands. No matter which describes you, the Lord commands that you be wise:

Ephesians 5:17 {NKJV}
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Wisdom, which begins with the appropriate reverence and awe for His Lordship, is knowing His will. It means striking the right balance: neither acting impulsively or presumptuously nor being paralyzed with fear and unbelief. That point is a peaceful place. It is confident. It is thoughtful. It is full of prayer and faith and courage and boldness. As frail and fallible men and women, we don't always get it right. But we must continue to strive for it, for its reward is truly a blessing.

Be encouraged,
Jose
