Who Do You Work For?

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:17 [KJV]

As we are winding down the year and work on positioning ourselves for a new start, we have to ask the question of who are we working for in this day and time? Are we true to the letter that Paul wrote to the Colossians years ago? Are we working for the Lord and giving thanks to Him? Or are we in the "rat race" and working to obtain more stuff?

When we look back over our life, do we see evidence that we worked for Christ instead of ourselves? Can we point to where we did what God said? When we find those moments, we realize how much more rewarding they are now. We realize that we had the correct focus and God worked everything out for His Goodness and our benefit. During the time, we may have felt differently, but our faith kept us on the path. What a reward that became when we put in our work for God!!!! He has the best pay scale ever. He is always there to make us whole. Praise God for the job that He has given me in His Kingdom.

Be Encouraged,

Martin
