Seek Wisdom

Now Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, but had departed from Saul. Therefore Saul removed him from his presence, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people. And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him. Therefore, when Saul saw that he behaved very wisely, he was afraid of him. But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.
1 Samuel 18:12-16 (NKJV)

Right before Saul's presence and reign as King of Israel, David excelled, did great exploits and incurred divine favor and the acceptance of the majority of the people. King Saul did not receive this well and planned evil for David all the way. But because God was with David, he escaped all the evil schemes of Saul on him. Rather than react negatively to the king, David obeyed and served him the more. He simply acted wisely through the divine wisdom given to him.

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
1 Peter 3:9 (NIV)

It takes the spirit of God in us to overcome the natural instincts of the flesh, it does take wisdom to respond to life according to His will for us. In all our ways, lets seek wisdom from above.

Be encouraged,

Afolabi
