Eternal Light

Friends,

Even in the darkest of times, we can remain confident and expectant. We do so because we do not have to depend on created things for light.

The sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light,
And your God your glory.
-- Isaiah 60:19

A seemingly endless string of commentators and prognosticators try to convince us that the world is in trouble. A careful student of scripture would not be surprised. But a believer has more than just the intellectual agreement with God's word. The believer knows that -- no matter what happens -- God is omnipotent and everlasting. The believer does not depend on the world for light and life. The believer depends on Christ Jesus... and His presence does not wax and wane with economic forecasts, election cycles, or the circumstances of war or peace.

Remember that God's promises are secure and dependable. He is faithful.

Be encouraged, Jose
