Be Productive

Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it.
Mark 11:12-14 (NKJV)

The Lord had been about the work of His kingdom and got to this place as they departed Bethany. He was attracted to the appearance of this Fig tree full of leaves and He approached it for fruit as he was hungry. Disappointingly, He found no fruit on it but leaves. Proverbially, the tree had the appearance of a productive creation but lacked the productive power and fruits thereof. A mandate that every child of God has. Nothing invokes the wrath of a merciful Lord than a fake, phony, dishonest, hypocrite.

If we are truly of the Kingdom, then we must be about our Father's business and have the fruits to show for it. Any branch that will not bear fruit and be productive will be pruned off so productive ones can thrive and flourish and be a blessing to our world. This will be done to cut short the deceit and lies of dishonest and phony unproductive branches. In the work of the Kingdom, everything works and is productive. Be productive in whatever you do and

Be encouraged,

Afolabi
