What Should I Ask For?

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. I Kings 4:29-30 [KJV]

As we read yesterday, with God, all things are possible, so as we face today, we wonder, what should we ask for? Solomon was faced with a similar situation prior to becoming king. He was presented with many options and the verses above show the result of his request. If we can deny ourselves and let God direct, then we can ask for and receive the right gifts. Sometimes we get caught up in the desires or concerns of today and forget the downstream affects of our decisions. But, if we trust God first and listen to His Directions, then we can always ask for "the right stuff"

Be Encouraged,

Martin
