The Fire Within

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. Jeremiah 20:9 [KJV]

When we are revived with the Word of God, we are excited to let this fire out. But when we are not following God's lead, or trying to keep quiet about what God means to us, or not coming from a great session where the Word of God was shared, we become like Jeremiah. He became weary of telling the people about God and what God could do for them. He wanted to keep quiet and not cause any more public disruptions. But God is planted deep in all of us as The Word was in Jeremiah and when the time comes to speak, we are powerless to hold the Word back. We must take a lesson from Jeremiah and let the fire out. The fire does service to us all in purifying and cleansing. We need the fire within to clean us out.
