Fear of the Lord

The fear of the LORD leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.
Proverbs 19:23 (NKJV)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To fear the Almighty God is to acknowledge Him in all our ways. When we operate in the fear and reverence of the Most High God, our actions and intents are guarded from destruction, our choices are divinely informed and directed and we are enveloped in a divine assurance which gives us peace that goes beyond the reasoning of man.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children's children.
Psalm 103:17 (NKJV)

To walk and operate in the fear of the Lord is the smartest move you will ever make. His fear inspires the detesting of sin in our lives and we are motivated to shun all acts of self-righteousness, pride, arrogance and all unrighteousness.

Be Encouraged,

Afolabi
