Move the Blind Spot

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1 [KJV]

Do we have a blind-spot or many blind-spots? In the passage that this verse is taken, Isaiah realizes that he was missing the Lord directly with Uzziah around.  As we get into the celebration of Christmas, let's make sure that our focus is still on Christ.  We will have many outside influences that will try to steal away our attention.  We will have many opportunities to miss what is really going on by participating in tasks that are meant to be distractions.

Whether the death of Uzziah meant that Isaiah's focus shifted to the Lord or his grief over the death brought him closer to the Lord, we don't know.  However, we know that the event caused him to get an up-close and personal view of the Lord in all His Glory.  Let's take this opportunity and the reason for the season and make sure that we are focusing on true Christmas.  Christ is born into non-believers life each day and that is the best Christmas present and blind-spot remover ever.

Be Encouraged,

Martin
