God's Timing

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:8-9 (NKJV)

The promises have been made, but yet to be fulfilled. Does that mean the Lord is not faithful to His word, Far from it!!! The promises of the Lord are Yeah and they are in Him, Amen. The heavens and earth may pass away but not a single word and promise of His will go unfulfilled. Our Lord is trustworthy, faithful, merciful, gracious and loving even when we fall, fail, and are undeserving and unworthy of receiving anything from Him. He still remains faithful.

Man's time and desires may be for right now, in real time and for instant gratification, but the Lord's fulfillment is perfect timing with a reason, purpose and are everlasting. We must wait for it, as we perfect our repentance in His grace and mercy. At the end, His timing is always the best.

Be encouraged,

Afolabi
