Ducks let water fall off their backs and move on. Can we do the same? Above Christ warns that people will talk about us and hate us and persecute us. He states that when this happens, we will be blessed. How does that happen? Because He is looking at the bigger picture in the grand scheme of our life. We, however are living in the moment and plotting our revenge. Instead, let's look at the big picture and hand the revenge to God. If we don't engage this line of thinking, we can see the benefit and the blessings. So, when some one says like water off a duck's back, we can relate that we just let that stuff fall off so God can handle His Part and we can benefit from the blessings.
