Perfecting Obedience

‘If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.
Leviticus 26:3-6
(NKJV)

The need for obedience cannot be overemphasized in our daily, personal, communal and generational walk with our Creator. Taking this seriously or casually has its far reaching effects which even goes beyond our very self. As the scripture clearly states here, to reject the path of obedience is just illogical, senseless, dumb choice. Human nature as we know it is naturally drawn to self-destruct and it becomes incumbent on us to arrest the carnal man and bring it to the point and state of submission and obedience to the will and plan of God in our lives.

In obedience, we look smart and able. The Lord perfects and orchestrates things in the background on our behalf. It is never easy giving up the forgone alternative the carnal man desires and wants, but it gets easier on the path of obedience. Let us perfect the act and way of obedience in our lives. We will be better off for it.

Be encouraged,
