Arresting the arrester

So it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, who cried out against the altar in Bethel, that he stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, “Arrest him!” Then his hand, which he stretched out toward him, withered, so that he could not pull it back to himself.
1 Kings 13:4 (NKJV)

The man of God had cried fervently unto the Lord against the altar in Bethel. He spoke with power and authority because he was in the will of Him that sent Him. When in His will, we are bold, fearless and carry His presence and power. The King in his power attempted the familiar, but got a more than he expected. In His will, you are Powerful to the point that....

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)

For as long as we stay and not deviate, compromise or default from His will, then we are more than conquerors as no weapon, device, scheme nor plan of the adversary will be of any effect on us. Instead the arrester will always be arrested on our behalf. This is part of our heritage as God's children.

Be encouraged,
