Bless your land

And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.
Jeremiah 29:7 (NKJV)

In his letter to the Captives that were taken away from Jerusalem to Babylon, Jeremiah advised the Israelites to seek the peace of the city of their location. He stressed the need to pray for the Land as well. By lifting our cities, states and countries before the Lord, we are impliedly lifting ourselves before Him. In the peace of these places, we also become recipients of the peace of the land.
