Courage in the face of the enemy

Friends,

As believers, we are under constant attack from the enemies of God. Satan and his host of fallen angels seeks to destroy His followers at every turn. The flesh is ever-ready to succumb to temptation. And the world daily expresses its hatred of Christ and His people.

We are truly faced with a ruthless and persistent enemy. And yet we can be brave.

Psalm 3:5-6
I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me all around.
NKJV

We can sleep peacefully, knowing that the LORD sustains us with the same vigor and endurance that He sustained David, the writer of these verses. No matter who was aligned themselves against God's Kingdom, we can face them. The Lord shall be victorious. And so shall we!

Don't hold back

Friends,

Look around you.

Your brother needs your prayers.
Your sister needs you to listen.
Another one needs to hear that you care.
Yet another needs help with a bill.
This sister needs someone with a truck.
That brother to know that he isn't battling alone.

Look around you.

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. - 1 Peter 4:10 [NKJV]

What has God given you? How freely do you share it? If you are holding yourself in reserve, then you are disobeying the Lord's direct command.

Look around you. There is great need for you.

Never go it alone

Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
Jeremiah 51:20 (KJV)

Jeremiah found strength in the God of his salvation. The words he spoke kept him going, he never slacked nor wavered. He simply operated with the Lord in the forefront of his strategies and plans. When God takes center stage in our lives, nations become vulnerable and kingdoms are reduced to objects that can be broken into pieces and destroyed. To achieve this, we must operate with the right tool, plan and strategy.

What's your plan? Who's in your strategy? How do you hold up to the kingdoms that surround and try to drown you out daily? Return to the Lord of your salvation, get strength from fellowship, relationship and connection with Him on a daily basis. Without these no one that ever went it alone came back in one piece save those with the special grace of God.
