As followers of Christ, it is important that we refrain from seeking attention for ourselves. Too many men have used the pulpit to make a name for themselves, and to accumulate power and wealth. But their sin should not cause us to be silent when it comes to praising Jesus.
Psalm 35:18 [NKJV]
I will give You thanks in the great assembly;
I will praise You among many people.
The customs and rules of the world should never dictate to us whether we can lift up the Name of Christ. It is all too common that we shy away from proclaim His Name for fear of offending or excluding someone. And when we do that, we reveal that we are ashamed of it.
But when we summon the courage to speak of Jesus boldly and without fear of man's reaction, we unleash the holy power of His Word. There is nothing that can stop it. And we see -- if only for a moment -- the glory of God!
Be encouraged,
Jose
