The outcome

Friends,

We hear so many messages each day. Most are fueled by the desire to influence our behavior. Before we heed the advice of our friends, no matter how well-intentioned it may be, it is imperative that we understand the consequences of that suggested course of action.

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

Our friends and family probably do not wish to guide us towards harm. But their words might do just that. Only the voice of Christ can be relied upon to lead. His words will always lead to life, to joy, to peace. Listen for it.
