What is the easy way for sin to entrap any one of us? By tempting the believer with what he might desire but is forbidden to pursue.
2 Peter 2:3
By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. [NKJV]
Brothers and sisters, examine your heart today. Understand that we are most vulnerable to temptation when we are offered that which we might covet.
What, then, is the answer?
Search and destroy.
Find any root or residue of covetousness in your heart and eliminate it. By doing so, you will following the word of the lord and enjoying the blessings of obedience.
