For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. James 1:23-24 KJV
God has given each of us a purpose in life. We must remember that we live to serve Him and others. He has given us the promise that if we take care of His Business in life, He will take care of our business. If we are not moving through life in that manner, then we will become like the man that James refers to in the verses above. We are only good when we can get the credit of what we do and hear our own praise. Let us not forget that God made us the manner of person that we are and He is able to sustain us in that state or move us to the next level.
