How close?

Friends,

Three of our five senses can be used at a distance. Each of us can smell, hear and see things from a distance. The sense of touch requires closeness, but we can touch something without letting it inside of us.

Taste is different.
Nothing can be tasted from a distance. In order to taste something, we must allow it to enter inside of us. It is the most intimate of experiences.

1 Peter 2:3
if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. [NKJV]

Psalm 34:8
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! [NKJV]

How close do you want to be the Lord? Close enough to taste Him?
